To our treasured theatre community.

We are writing to you in desperate need of your help. Some of you may have heard that we have been in a desperate fight with Mornington Peninsula Shire Council for the past 6 months to secure a new ‘home’ for our sets, costumes and props after they advised us they had new plans for the shed we have been using for the past 15+ years. Unfortunately all negotiations have failed and we now are faced with some tough decisions for our organisation. Due to the challenges of the COVID 19 pandemic on the creative arts, we also find ourselves in significant financial hardship, which is limiting our options.
We are urgently seeking the support of our theatre community to save our company so we can continue to provide musical theatre opportunities to our community. Here are some of the ways you can help:
• MEMBERSHIP: please see our post about renewing your financial membership for the next 12 months T
• MEMBERSHIP: please see our post about renewing your financial membership for the next 12 months
• GO FUND ME: please consider donating.
• PETITION: Please consider signing our petition to Mornington Peninsula Shire imploring them to assist us to find a new home. See separate doc where this is drafted and ready to be cut and pasted for you
• SENDING LETTERS/ EMAILS: Please see our post with templates and email addresses for all levels of government. Feel free to add your own personal experiences with Panorama to these templates.
• JOIN A SUB COMMITTEE: we are asking for volunteers to join a couple of newly created sub committees to assist in sharing the workload with our committee – if we are going to save our company, we need many helpers:
 Fundraising,
 Space and Securing resources (assist with seeking alternate venues, packing our resources and ultimately moving),
 Political/ Communication (assisting with advocacy etc),
 Business group (developing a robust SWOT analysis and business plan for the next 1, 3 and 5 years)
We sincerely thank you for all the love and support and hope that together we can save Panorama.
